About Vera

Aurora began with a quiet love for pearls, natural light, and pieces that feel personal to wear.

After spending over ten years living, studying, and working in San Francisco, I found myself becoming deeply drawn to quiet details — soft light, balance, texture, and the feeling certain objects carry when they’re worn naturally over time.

My background in photography and design continues to shape how I see pearls today, and how I select them for Aurora.

Rather than chasing perfection, I’m more drawn to pearls with presence — soft glow, beautiful balance, subtle overtones, and the way they come alive near a window or against the skin in everyday light.

Most days, I’m sourcing pearls from different parts of the world, slowly selecting the ones that stand out to me in light, glow, and feeling before they’re made into Aurora pieces. I work closely with craftsmen to create jewelry that feels timeless, effortless, and personal to wear.

Each collection is photographed in natural light, packed by hand, and shared directly with customers along the way.

I wanted Aurora to feel quieter and more personal than a traditional jewelry brand — more like discovering a piece that naturally becomes part of your life.

A quiet working table

Chosen slowly

I start with the pearl.

Some stay on my desk longer than others —
usually because of the way they hold light,
or how they feel once worn.

Only a few become Aurora pieces.
